Christmas in Sydney

This year we spent Christmas in Sydney.  Wayne worked until the 22, we drove down the afternoon of the 23, and arrived 5 am on Christmas eve morning. We took the route inland, the roads weren't busy, saw a lot of fields, ha ha, and had a good drive. Boys slept a lot and were so well behaved for a 12 hour + drive.

The letter to Santa Claus, complete with a beet and cookies.

Cool app, that told us when Santa was flying over, luckily we were all asleep, except me of course, someone had to track the big guy.

Christmas morning! Funnily enough, Travis was up last. When Travis did get up, he went back to sleep on the couch while everyone else started  on their stockings. Soon he woke up, realized what was happening and him and Jett got right into it! First up, Santa brought Duplo!

Thomas train! (which is currently lost), Thomas lost mommy, Thomas lost!!

T-Ball set! Well done Santa!

Jett opening his helicopter from his cousins!

Mommy and Daddy did well, a skateboard

A washable mat you can draw on with your "muckers", awesome!

Very cool gift from Santa to our nieces, Chloe and Tayla.

Zoom in on Tay. Enough said.

A great Christmas with family. Definitely will always miss a white Christmas, but only 12 months till then.

Thanks to our family in Canada, our family in Australia and our friends near and far who spoiled our boys. We had a great day, lots of food, lots of fun, and playing and laughter all day long.

More updates soon, Happy Holidays everyone!

Halloween 2013

One of the upsides to missing my scheduled flight (stupid airlines making me cry!!) was that I got to spend Halloween with both my boys. Travis was Spiderman, and Jett was a Jedi, the Jedi, Master Yoda! So clever I know.
Our cute little Spider man off to a Halloween party

Just carved their pumpkin, so happy!

Proud

Young Jetti, so wise

A brand new blog in 2013

Hello and welcome to our new blog. Needed to started fresh, since I had used up all our photo storage space on the other blog. Oops, I guess I maybe post too many photos? Never!!!!

Once again, this blog is for family and friends who want to stay up to date with our and the boys lives. Lots of big changes happening in 2013!

One really big change is that we are moving! We have taken Wayne's redundancy and turned it into an amazing positive. We just got approved for a house on Monday (my birthday woo hoo)! We are so excited. I have no photos of it yet, but it's a 3 bedroom, one floor house, with a HUGE backyard in a nice area, 3 blocks from the beach, a canal at the end of the road, it is heaven. We are so excited. Travis is very excited, "we are moving to the beach!"  So our move in date is January 18, lots to do before then.

But first Christmas holidays. This year I took a home made or hand made or Tupperware (ha ha) approach to the gift giving season. Its been lots of work, but fun, so not work, creativity time, which has been amazing, Travis has helped out with all the baking and been a great little elf, although I know he's only in it to lick the beaters, eat the smarties and devour as much cookie dough as possible before it gets put in the oven.
In 2 days we head to Sydney to spend Christmas with the Sydney Lovells. I can not wait!!!!!! We have 2 nieces and a nephew down there and it will be great to see all the kids together. Plus hello relaxation time! With Wayne on shift work and the busyness of the holiday season, rest and relaxation is looking like heaven.
Another Christams in the hot hot heat! I really do miss Canada this time of year. Christmas to me is still about snow falling, slush and the cold. Bundled up playing outside in the snow and coming inside to warm up with hot chocolate and mountains of food, crazy Christmas sweater potlucks and pub crawls (really miss the 12 bars of Christmas!!!!). Saying that I do not hate the Aussie Christmas. It is not hard swimming, having water gun fights and not having to bundle up all the time.

I have quite a few updates to do from 2012, as my blog photo limit didn't let me put up any photos since Wayne's party. I will do a massive Canada trip update soon. As well as other photos since then.

Merry Christmas everyone, enjoy the season, in whatever climate, country or city you may be in this year!
