Carpets done and a new bed.

Morning,
Well the last half of our carpet replacement got finished this week. That was pretty awesome, so we were finally able to move back in. It's nice to have our whole house back to ourselves. We spent most of Sunday getting it all organized.
Saturday we had a birthday party on, and then had Jarad and Lauren stop in for a BBQ afternoon. It was a nice little weekend. Never made it down to see the Mooloolaba triathlon  but heard it was pretty hectic down there, maybe next year. It would be cool to train for and do one year, in the future.
Since we were moving furniture around this weekend, we moved Jett out of his crib and into his toddler bed. Last night was first night in his bed. It went relatively well. The naps will be the most interesting, Yesterday nap time he spent the whole time trying to share Travis' bed. Travis did not think that was cool. The war of the brothers begins. There is something special about sharing your room with a sibling. Wayne and I both have....I won't say fond.....but memories. I remember tormenting Ashley, with Emma and a certain E.T. doll she was scared of, ha ha ha. Jett spent most of the night half on the bed, and on the floor, but he stayed in his room, which is a miracle and went to sleep.
We've started using the local library to its full potential. I don't remember libraries having play areas inside them, but that is pretty cool. We tried story time too this past week, think that will be a miss for awhile.  The class was 90% girls and I can see why, all the boys run around like crazy town the whole time. But borrowing books and playing with the toys seems to be good enough for Travis and Jett. I actually met a girl from the states there last week. When you're a parent, the library is the new bar, lol. It's so happening.
Not much else new this week, carpets took up pretty much our whole week, since it was made such an ordeal from the companies. People up here are really nice and love to chat, but holy geez they work on surf time.
Oh and Jett's teething again, he's got some huge chompers coming in right now.

And photo time!

Love these guys, morning cartoons.

The learning activities we did this week. Gotta love the interest in ripped paper and a glue stick.

The first batch of home brew was ready this week. It turned out great. I was impressed. It was similar tasting to a Pure Blonde. Not really comparable to Canadian beer.

My silly little guy, he is such a character.

And my other little character. Copying me on the couch. I was lying down with a sore head, so he did too, lol.

At a friend's party above, and all tired out on the way home, below.

Watching finding Nemo, popcorn and milk.

This guy makes me laugh all the time.

Little helper, so thrilled to help Daddy put the furniture back together. And Jett, helping me dust everything before it goes back together.

Little guy in his toddler bed. So cute.

Happy weekend everyone. :)

This post is brought to you by the letter A

Hello,
I've been a bit slack keeping this up to date lately. My new goal is every Sunday night to enter a little something at the least.
Happy belated birthday to my sister, Ashley!
Since the last post, we found out we are having a boy! We were pretty shocked and I always find the ultrasounds so emotional. A lot happens, you are seeing your baby for the first time looking more like a baby, you get to see fingers and toes and a face, even if that face is alien like and scary, ha ha. And our technician was so great and just gave us such detailed information, showed us blood flow, and organs and bones and it was great. All of us were in there too, all 4 or 5 of us.
Travis understands a lot more this time around, it is definitely a benefit of having him a bit older now. Yesterday he even came up to me hugged my belly and said "I'm giving the baby a cuddle." Aw melts your heart. Jett has no idea, and I think it will be a big shock for him. Not only does he love being close to me, sometimes too close, as in he likes to sit on my belly and look me straight in the eye, and if I'm not looking he grabs my face in his little hands and puts it directly up to his, ha ha. And when we eat dinner and he sits beside me, he likes to hold my arm while we eat. Oh boy!
Travis has moved on from wanting a sister and now knows he'll have another brother. His name choices so far are Percy, James, Thomas (all train names) and Little Brother. We're still looking for names.
Oh we got new carpets. So far we have only had the living room and hall done, and the bedrooms are getting done this week. It is so much nicer as the carpets we had before were the originals from a pretty old house.
I started a bit of educational learning and crafts this past week with the boys, mostly Travis, this stuff is easier for us to have one on one time with when Jett is napping. Nothing major and nothing mandatory, just some letter tracing and coloring in. He thought it was pretty cool. He even copied my explanation of how to draw the letter A while clearly not drawing a letter A, lol. Fun times.
Oh also Happy belated birthday to my mom!
We started a new playgroup this week and it was great, even another Canadian there, which is pretty neat. Made me realize my Canadian accent isn't that strong. Must sound more Canadian, ha ha.
Oh and things with Wayne's apprenticeship are hopefully taking a big turn in the next few weeks but we'll deal with that as it comes.
OK I can't think of anything else and I must go to bed, big day of the letter B tomorrow :)
